Rewards and Characteristics of Carlton Learners
At The Carlton Academy, we want all students to be upstanding Carlton students. We want our characteristics to be built around 'Our Carlton' and 'Our Community'. Our students are expected to uphold these specific characteristics in everything that they do. All students are recognised for displaying these values daily.
The agreed seven characteristics of 'Carlton Learners' are detailed below:
- Contributor
- Aspiring
- Resilient
- Learner
- Team Worker
- Organised
- New Thinker
You can find out more about our rewards and achievement points, as well as what these different characteristics are all about by downloading the document below. Students receive rewards for their achievement points which are awarded at Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum levels as part of rewards assemblies, and through ClassCharts.
- Bronze Award - 200 achievement points
- Silver Award - 300 achievement points
- Gold Award - 400 achievement points
- Platinum Award - 600 achievement points
Students will receive achievement points based on The Carlton Learner; this equates to one point per characteristic. Additionally, students have the opportunity to achieve points for:
- Attending Curriculum Plus activities
- Loyalty points for supporting House activities
- 100% attendance per week with no late marks
During the Summer term of 2025, The Carlton Academy launched the Golden Ticket initiative, where students are able to earn a Golden Ticket by attending daily, and embodying the Carlton Learner values. If students are successful, they have the chance of winning a prestigious prize and are recognised as a 'Great Carlton Student' on ClassCharts, gaining 5 achievement points.
