Exam Results and Destinations
The Carlton Academy is delighted with the progress of our students. Our record GCSE outcomes this year are in line with our predictions, and demonstrate a trend of sustained school improvement of which we are very proud, and our Post 16 results continue to be positive and allow our students to access their next stage.
GCSE Results
In summer 2026 we achieved:
- 80.4% of our students achieved a Grade 4 or above in English
- 76.9% of our students achieved a Grade 4 or above in Maths
- 72.4% of our students achieved a Grade 4 or above in English and Maths
- 54.2% of our students achieved a Grade 5 or above in English and Maths
- 18.7% of our students achieved a Grade 7 or above in English and Maths
- Attainment 8 is currently 50.32

In summer 2026, we achieved:
- 51.3% of our grades were A*-B
- 20.1% of our grades were A*-A
- Overall average points score (APS) per entry is 34.70
- A Level APS per entry 34.17
- Vocational APS per entry 32.40
- Tech level APS per entry 45.56
Student Progress GCSE English and Maths Retake
Any students in Year 12 and 13 who are yet to achieve a grade 4 in English or Maths will be timetabled for lessons in these subjects and will resit at the November or summer series.
