School Ethos & Values

Carlton Values - DRIVE 

The Carlton Academy is committed to supporting the key values of: 

  • Democracy
  • The rule of law 
  • Individual liberty 
  • Tolerance of those of different faiths and beliefs 
  • Equality 

We have introduced and embedded a number of initiatives to promote these important values. These have been through our ECO Days, our PSHE programmes and through our focus on Characteristics of Carlton Learners. In addition, these values are covered in many aspects of the curriculum, our tutor and assemblies programme and through other aspects of school life such as student leadership. 

DRIVE is our specific approach to promoting and embedding these values in our academy. These are outlined below
