Welcome to The Carlton Academy website.

Welcome to our website. I am exceptionally proud to be the Head Teacher of The Carlton Academy.

This is a very exciting time for us all, with the school having been judged as a good school (OFSTED 2017) and having once again achieved the best results ever in both Year 11 and Year 13 in summer 2016. We are ambitious about all that we do and focus our work on improving the academic attainment of all our students. The Carlton Academy is fortunate to have wonderful facilities, exceptional staff, motivated students and supportive parents.

We are sponsored by The Redhill Academy Trust, under the leadership of Andrew Burns, Executive Principal and a National Leader of Education. We believe that these partnerships give us the opportunity to continue our improvements and for the school to be recognised both locally and nationally as a truly outstanding school. We share the four Redhill core principles:

  • High expectations of all students
  • Valuing and celebrating academic achievement
  • Outstanding teaching for all students
  • Widening students’ experiences through a range of extra-curricular activities including sports and the performing arts

I hope that you enjoy browsing our website. If you cannot find the information that you need, please do not hesitate to contact us directly. I look forward to meeting with you soon.
