Exam Results

The Carlton Academy is delighted with the progress we have made in the last five years. Our record outcomes are in line with our predictions and show a trend of sustained school improvement of which we are very proud.

GCSE Results

In summer 2022 we achieved:

  • 78% of our students achieved a Grade 4 or above in English 
  • 71% of our students achieved a Grade 4 or above in Maths
  • 66% of our students achieved a Grade 4 or above in English and Maths
  • 61% of our students achieved 5 or more GCSE at Grade 4 or above (including English and Maths)
  • 37% of our students achieved 5 or more GCSE at Grade 5 or above (including English and Maths)
  • Attainment 8 is 44.87
  • 47.8% of students were entered for EBacc

Year 13 - A Level Outcomes

In summer 2022, we achieved:

  • 39.4% of our grades were A*-B 
  • Overall average points score (APS) per entry is 33.63
  • A Level APS per entry 32.56
  • Vocational APS per entry 33.95
  • Tech level APS per entry 43.33
     

Given the uneven impact of the pandemic on school and college performance data, the government has said you should not make direct comparisons between the performance data for one school or college and another, or to data from previous years.

 

Student Progress GCSE English and Maths Retake 

Any students in Year 12 and 13 who are yet to achieve a grade 4 in English or Maths will be timetabled for lessons in these subjects and will resit at the November or summer series. 

Average Grades 

Average A-Level Grade is a C+

Average Applied General Grade is Distinction 

Percentage of A-Level students gaining AAB (including two facilitating subjects) is 24.2% (National Average is 17%).

Average Grade for best three A-Levels is B
